Frida Gianni went ridiculous with the color in spring which set of images of a jet circa of the seventies, but we believe that she favors the dark-side (don’t we all) because she’s back in black for fall. The shiny python Gianni used in some of the numbers was the clear standout of the collection other than the body-con and sexy pieces. The cabans, peplum jackets and hourglass dresses with exaggerated hips but Gucci at the center of a forties by the seventies look. The fetish-y accessories of fishnets, gloves and patent oxford booties couldn’t relive the awfulness of the stiff pony-tail or too much of the past styling. Long sleeve silk sheaths, some with bib insets of black lace, hit her sweet spot and the softer, suppler fabrics made a difference. A boxy powder blue men’s coat with a riveting deep lapel and fur collar had its own fans.
